The Tonearm is an online magazine that seeks to give an additional and much-needed voice to artists pushing through the pockets of their medium. These artists work in music, visual art, the written word, entrepreneurship in the arts, or however they choose to make the world a more interesting place. Most importantly, our conversations with these artists are threaded by an exploration of what it's like to create cool things. These artists inspire us, and they will also inspire you.
Since posting the first episode of the Spotlight On podcast in February 2020, our team has hosted hundreds of revealing talks with people doing creative work. Through The Tonearm, we'll continue to present an ongoing series of interviews, features, and perspectives from a network of contributors worldwide.
The Tonearm believes independent media, artists, and discourse are fundamental to a free society. Each conversation and article enhances our understanding of and appreciation for the world around us.
Expect the offering here to develop regularly as we test new ideas, integrate your feedback, and learn from what others are doing.
