Roberto was born in Milan and made his name manning the keyboard bench with Klaus Doldinger’s Passport. ​​Over the years, Roberto has worked with many American jazz greats, including Art Farmer, Joe Lovano, and Clark Terry.

Robert Di Gioia: When I was 7 years old, "My Sweet Lord" by George Harrison, on the radio.
